LET THERE BE ROCK!

Reported by Mike Gagnon

After an eight year drought, AC/DC is heading into the studio to record a new album, beginning on March 1st, just a week away!

The rumors were recently confirmed by AC/DC bassist Cliff Williams in an interview with Spinner.com.

AC/DC’s last album, Stiff Upper Lip, was released in 2000. Williams said the biggest rush from the that album’s tour was seeing parents coming to the concerts together with their grown and teenage children, seeing that the bands music was able to cross the generations like that.

When asked about a supporting tour Williams said: "If we go out again or when we go out again, you just never know. We've been around a long time, so we're going to get together and get in the studio and I fully expect we will (tour). I don't mean to be so negative about that."

Negativity or not, who cares, there’s a legion of AC/DC fans excited about the news that there’s plenty of positive energy for everyone Cliff!

Weiland in trouble again!

Reported by Mike Gagnon

Mug shot of Weiland from previous DUI charges.

Velvet Revolver front man and former Stone Temple Pilots rock god Scott Weiland has been charged with DUI…again!

Weiland has a history of DUI’s and disorderly charges, at one time even jailed for injuring an innocent bystander in an impaired car wreck. While incarcerated Weiland was allowed to leave his prison in order to make tour dates with his band.

It has now been made public that Weiland was in another wreck at 6:15 PM this past November 21st 2007 in Los Angeles. No one was injured but investigating officers became suspicious when they noticed him acting strange. Weiland failed a number of roadside sobriety tests and was booked on charges of “driving under the influences of a drug”.

Weiland refused to take any blood or urine tests.

Shortly after the incident Velvet Revolver’s reps announces that the band would be canceling its Australian tour due to “health reasons”.

Since that report the charges against Weiland have come to light and no clinical illnesses have ever been announced for any of the band members.

The Hour is On Fire!

Mike Gagnon

The Hour is likely Copyright and TM CBC or George Stroumboulopoulos 2007.

Younger audiences all over Canada tune into a show called “The Hour” starring Canadian bad boy George Stroumboulopoulos, with an almost religious weeknight following.

What makes this late night show unique is that it’s a news and current events show geared towards the younger crowd that has replaced the once traditional 11pm news hour on Canada’s flagship network, the CBC. Also, it turns out that that aforementioned bad boy host really isn’t that bad at all, and is actually a very well informed, intelligent and articulate young man, who represents his generation quite well.

The Return Of The Police: Sting, Summers And Copeland Are Back!
Bill Knell

The Police reunited for an appearance on the 2007 Grammy Awards Show. Anyone familiar with Sting, Andy Summers and Stewart Copeland knew that a Grammy Awards Show would never be reason enough for the original band members to come together and suddenly decide to perform on television. It was obvious that this was some kind of reintroduction to the band. That suspicion was confirmed a day later when a press conference was held in Los Angeles to announce that tickets would soon be available for an upcoming tour. A group known for surprising the media, their fans and sometimes even themselves, had done so handily. It was that way since the beginning.
