Dane Cook Coming to London, Ontario?

Cook performing his comedy routine.

Reported by Mike Gagnon

If you’ve been watching movies lately, you know that Dane Cook has been making waves as an actor. Cook has proven that he has range, starring in slacker comedies like “Employee of the Month” with Jessica Simpson, to darker roles such as a wanna-be serial killer with Kevin Costner in “Mr. Brooks”.

Before Cook jumped to the big screen he got his attention by being one of the youngest, raunchiest, most energetic stand-up comedians of the decade.

Reported by Mike Gagnon

Less than 24 hours ago the entertainment world was stunned at the news that the body of 28 year old film star Heath Ledger had been found dead.

The nude body of the star of such acclaimed films as “Brokeback Mountain” and “I’m Not There” was found at the foot of his bed late Tuesday night by a housekeeper and a massage therapist in Ledger’s New York apartment.

"Working with Heath was one of the purest joys of my life," said Ang Lee, who directed Ledger in "Brokeback Mountain."

Save the Cheerleader, Save the… Whales?

Panettiere on the red carpet and in her role as Claire on Heroes.

By H. Rox

Hayden Panettiere doesn’t just act like a hero; she’s trying to be one. The actress, who plays a cheerleader on the hit NBC show, Heroes, is a spokeswoman for the Save The Whales Again organization. She recently spoke at an environmental summit in Washington D.C. But Panettiere made the biggest splash, by risking her own safety during a protest. That gives new meaning to her TV show’s slogan, “Save the Cheerleader, Save the World.”

The dangerous protest happened in October, in Japan. According to the Save The Whales Again website, Panettiere and a few other protestors paddled out on surfboards toward pilot whales, trapped in a netted enclosure off the town of Taiji. The website says Panettiere and other activists went through water that was red with blood, and gathered in a circle “to honor the spirits of the over 25,000 dolphins killed each year in Japan.”
