The cast includes Paul Butler (Reign Over Me), Thirza Defoe (Pow Wow Dreams), Laura Kirk (Lisa Picard is Famous), Blake Robbins (Oz), Kevin Geer (The Contender), Christopher Wheatley (Raising Jeffrey Dahmer), Scott Allegrucci (The Feud), Kip Niven (Magnum Force), Delanna Studi (Edge of America), Queen Bey (Ninth Street) and David Midthunder (Hidalgo).

Carmody, Kevin Willmott, Matt Cullen, Greg Hurd, Rick Cowan and Scott Richardson are the producers.  J. T. O’Neal, Hanay Geiogamah and Dan Wildcat are co-executive producers.

Kevin Willmott wrote and directed the highly acclaimed independent feature CSA: Confederate States of America, which premiered at The Sundance Film Festival, and Ninth Street, which starred Martin Sheen and Isaac Hayes.  He has written scripts for Oliver Stone, NBC, 20th Century Fox and Columbia Tri-Star.  Willmott is currently completing post production on Bunker Hill, a feature film starring James McDaniel, Saeed Jaffrey and Laura Kirk.

Wes Studi’s celebrated acting career includes lead roles Geronimo: An American Legend, Dances With Wolves, Last of the Mohicans, Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee, Into the West, Seraphim Falls, The New World, Edge of America and Mystery Men.  Studi starred as Lt. MARKOSIA RELEASES THE MAGPYE
Press Release

Markosia Enterprises have signed a new four part mini series - “The Magpye” - from the critically acclaimed UK comic studio Monkeys with Machineguns.

Described by writer Chris Lynch as a “psychological supernatural super-hero-horror story”, The Magpye will be solicited in late 2008.

Markosia's Harry Markos has this to say on securing the deal: “I’ve been watching the guys at MWM for a while now and have been impressed with their vision. When Chris Lynch got in touch a while back I told him that we were looking for new titles for late 2008 – early 2009, which led to the pitch for The Magpye and a couple of other exciting ideas which we’ll be discussing at a later date. The Magpye is just the kind of exciting property which we want to be associated with, and to develop further. I explained to Chris what we have in mind for the future and things developed into a full blown negotiation. Everything happened quite quickly, and we decided that the Birmingham International Comic Show would be a great place to seal the deal, which we did. I’m looking
forward to seeing the story unfold; I think a lot of people are going to be surprised with what we’ll be putting out there!”

Established in 2005 by Chris Lynch and Stu.Art, Monkeys with Machineguns have become stalwarts of the UK independent press through their eponymous horror anthology; most recently described by Silver Bullet Comicbook's Regie Rigby as “a hugely entertaining, strangely haunting and dangerously thought provoking book”; as well as their 2005 charity anthology The Hammer of Time and their work for a range of other publishers both in the UK and America.

“We're delighted to be working with Markosia on The Magpye,” said Magpye co-creator and writer Chris Lynch. “They have all the tools to help us bring the story to as wide an audience as possible, and we're looking forward to a long and rewarding partnership”.

Comic artists will raise money for Cancer research

Hey all, I have already requested to take part in the event listed below, I encourage anyone out there interested to take part if they can. Although I doubt I’d be able to attend in person, I will be doing a number of Sketch cards.

In all seriousness it’s not often enough that we get a chance to help out in our own way. Even if you can’t make time in your busy schedule to take part, I encourage you to pass this on to any friends or associates who may.

 Thanks,

 Mike Gagnon

Blue Line is sponsoring a Sketch Card Gallery Exhibit on March 8, 2008 at Comics2Games in Florence, Kentucky. This show is open to all artists. Blue Line will send sketch cards for the artist to do their illustrations and Comics2Games will set up the display for the event. The Exhibit will be up all day with a get-together with some of the artists from 5 to 8pm that evening. Then, after the show, the cards will be auctioned on eBay with the proceeds donated to the American Cancer Society.

Cancer has touched the lives and families of so many artists and writers, faced with fighting this terrible disease. So, consider taking the time to illustrate a few cards for a good cause. Blue Line is supplying the sketch cards for the show and will mail blank cards to artists upon request to illustrate for this event.

The cards can feature most any characters (including your own) with some exceptions on licensed properties such as Star Wars.

For more
information to contact Comics2Games at (859) 647-7568 you can contact Jeremy Bell at jeremyb@comics2cars.com on how you or an artist you know can participate in the event for this worthy cause!

Pass the word along to all the message boards, groups, bulletin boards and other outlets you know. Help the fight against cancer and participate in this sketch card event!

Colbert for President!

Copyright Stephen Colbert?

As a Canadian citizen who has no voting rights in the U.S., no vested interests in the outcome of the '08 Presedential Election, and will have very little concerns to deal with over the results of said election, I fully endorse the newly announced campaign of Colbert Report anchor Stephen Colbert. I encourage all U.S. citizens to vote Colbert! For more info go to www.colbertnation.com

If for some insane reason you can't vote for Colbert, like if your hands have been severed, or you are in fact a very intelligent and vote conscious grizzly bear, then at least consider voting for Hilary. After nearly a decade of George W. Bush I do indeed miss the entertaining antics of one Bill Clinton.

OnSite Network to Broadcast Original Yahoo! Sports Content

Venues Across the Country to Serve Real-Time Sports News

CHICAGO, Oct. 10, 2007 -- OnSite Network (OSN), the

Out-of-Home Network reaching over 1.5 million monthly viewers, is set to begin broadcasting content from Yahoo! Sports, the leading sports destination on the Internet. OSN will deliver Yahoo! Sports content, including fantasy sports information, statistics, columns by top-flight writers, and updated news.

"As a new Network, we have always recognized that it is still true that 'Content is King,'" said Allen Marrinson, President of OSN. "Having access to Yahoo! Sports content, which we consider the most complete and best sports content available, will greatly assist us as we continue to provide content to our viewers which is up-to-date, accurate and interesting."

OnSite Network's proprietary technology permits commercial TV and OSN's Internet-driven network to be concurrently displayed on screens in the most popular venues across the country. OSN systems garner 3 million viewer impressions every month, and are now installed in over 60 top-rated sports bars in Chicago, New York City, St. Louis, Atlanta, Minneapolis, Milwaukee and Orlando. The company has several hundred more install agreements with venues throughout the United States, and recently agreed to install in over 20 locations of a major national restaurant chain.

"We have worked hard to get our Network underway. We now have over 1.5 million people a month viewing the Network in our Chicago affiliates alone," said Marrinson. "And we've accomplished all that since our first installation in January 2007, just ten months ago. We have made great progress. And this is just the beginning. We are projecting well over 5 million viewers by mid-2008, and 10 million viewers by the end of 2008."

OSN's proprietary technology permits it to provide content designed specifically for the viewers in each Venue Affiliate. Advertisers can custom-design their message for a single Affiliate, the entire Network, or anything in between. This unique ability lets OSN build its content and message for a micro-segmented mass market. So, OSN provides the big bang of mass market reach, while at the same time targeting viewers almost individually. And this all comes at a price substantially lower than competing traditional or digital media.

New website offers collectors an easier alternative for buying graphic novels

There’s a place on the internet where consumers can now go to get their fix for Batman, Superman, Spider-Man, or any other type of graphic novel they want at prices lower than retail, all from the comfort of their own home.

That place is called Graphic Novel Depot.

The site is the brainchild of former comic book and graphic novel publisher Mike Gagnon, and has earned a growing customer base since its launch in March of 2007.

Pop culture fans from all over the world can come to the site and select from one of the largest and most comprehensive inventories of graphic novels, essentially large comic books, in the world. The site also offers books related to the comic industry and a huge inventory of hot collectibles such as character busts, action figures, posters and more.

This website is important to consumers within the comic book community because it provides fans with an affordable alternative source for filling out their graphic novel collections. All website transactions are protected with the latest and most up-to-date encryption technology, so all of your online purchases with the site are safe. There is also a strict privacy policy in place, so none of your personal information will be sent to or viewed by any outside party. This level of security and privacy is possible because the site is powered by Amazon, the world’s number one online book seller.

Gagnon has a particular interest in serving graphic novel fans that live in rural communities that may not have a local comic retailer. The owner explains: “When I moved from Toronto to where I live now, I was suddenly cut-off from a hobby I had been enjoying all of my life. The nearest comic shop was an hour away, and was very small with a very limited selection. To find a shop with a decent selection I’d have to drive two hours away to London, or three hours away to Toronto. The Graphic Novel Depot site seems to have become the perfect solution for fans in the same situation, and I enjoy using the site myself to add to my own collection.”

Gagnon added: “The site has helped to fill a demand in the industry for collectors who don’t have a retailer in their local area. New customers who have tried the site have been happy with their experiences and we find most people who give it a try keep coming back for their future purchases.”

Part of the reason for so much repeat business has been an emphasis on customer service and support, which Gagnon states is one of the number one priorities of the business. Gagnon personally oversees that every transaction results in customer satisfaction.

Website visitors who send in opinions on how to improve the site or point out something missing in the collection also get their name entered into a random monthly draw for free products from the website.

You can find the website for Graphic Novel Depot at www.graphicnoveldepot.com and explore the expansive database of graphic novels and collectibles at your own leisure from the comfort of your own home.
